With the world facing the most collectively challenging situation known for a lifetime, there has been a significant impact on both consumer behaviour and organisational structures. As such, we would like to acknowledge the hard work and leadership skills of all those who entered the Awards this year.

This year the East and West Midlands will jointly host a ceremony on 15th October when entrants from all parts of the Midlands will be in contention for a number of categories.  This will be our first “virtual” awards ceremony.

Going virtual means that so many more can join in the celebrations. We look forward to featuring the achievements of our finalists across IoD media, including online, the commemorative Awards Brochure, our quarterly magazine, E-newsletters and social media – so that sponsors, supporters, colleagues, guests can all share in their success.

CELEBRATE THE VERY BEST OF THE MIDLANDS BUSINESS LEADERS

Across the Midlands the IoD is building a strong community of business leaders, who understand the challenges, have access to quality personal and professional development, can offer peer support at a senior level and influence policy that affects our businesses (be that local, regional or national) and who generally help make the Midlands a great place to live and work. A region to stay in after university and a thriving environment to start-up and grow your business.

Attended by business leaders, entrepreneurs, government and media representatives, our annual Director of the Year Awards has recognised directors from diverse regional businesses.

The Midlands Director of the Year Awards celebrate the best of the best across British businesses and directors at the forefront of leadership excellence and is open to both members and non-members from across the business spectrum.

quoteGood governance and embedding an ethical approach to business is an incredibly important part of the Second Century Plan, with the vision ‘to be the great British car company that creates the most beautiful automotive art in the world".   This award further demonstrates the success of our transformation plan.
